When have you been the most happy?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 18, 2008:
One of my happier memories is when I was in high school and I was promoted to Editor-In-Chief of the newspaper. I was honored and overwhelmed. I was a bit of an overachiever. (Not only was I Editor-In-Chief of the newspaper, but I was also Organizations Editor of the yearbook... I was only the softball team, ran track, played in the marching band, and had a part time job.)
I took my first journalism class my sophmore year of high school, and I was the ONLY sophmore to have an article published that year. By junior year I was writing features and editorials... and senior year I became Editor-In-Chief. I loved it because it gave me a chance to write, and to help the younger students find their voices.

Help

Oh, what a great story. My favorite is the joy you seem to take in mentoring; I’m sure you left quite a legacy there. :)
It’s so wonderful that you’ve found your calling at such a young age! It will be fun watching you take off and and seeing where your passions take you! Enjoy the ride!
Thank you for your kind words. : ) Writing has been a passion of mine for quite some time. I fear I’ve lost my voice… but hopefully with some practice I can find it again.
How did you lose your voice? Perhaps you needed a time of quiet reflection before speaking again?
I forgot the things most important to me… I lost sight of my goals and my passions. I haven’t really written anything since I stopped going to school… but now I’m starting to find my groove again.
I can relate to you saying that you lost sight of your goals and passions. I did, too. It’s great that you’re getting back on track so soon! It wasn’t until I was in my 40s that I realized what a rut I was in…
Sometimes you get there in spite of the route
Losing track of your life and what it’s about
The road seems to know when to straighten right out…
